Adobe Express

Overview

Adobe Express is a free online and mobile graphic design app to create visual content. It is great for tool to create multimedia to be shared on social media.

You can create:

  • Logos
  • Social media images and videos
  • Poster and flyers
  • Presentations

Features

  • Remove image background
  • Drag and drop video creation
  • Create GIFs
  • Professionally-designed templates and design recommendations
  • One-click tasks, resize images, edit PDFs, and more.  

Access to all premium features including royalty-free Adobe stock photos, fonts, icons, backgrounds and visual elements, are offered through KU licensing.

Faculty/Staff Access

New faculty and staff and those who have not used Adobe in the past must request a license for Adobe Creative Cloud. See instructions under "Faculty/Staff - Request Adobe License" in this Knowledge Base article.

Under the KU licensing agreement with Adobe, faculty and staff can install Creative Cloud on a maximum of two devices.

PC or Mac Sign in

Adobe Express is available on PC or Mac using the browser of your choice.

  1. Log in to Adobe Express using your computer and favorite browser.
  2. Sign in using your KU email address. 
  3. When redirected, choose Company or School account.
  4. At the KU log in screen, enter your KU Online ID and password.

Sign-in Mobile

  1. Open the App store/Play store on your device.
  2. Search for and install the Adobe Express apps.
  3. Open the Adobe Express app.
  4. Select an option for notifications if prompted.
  5. Select Log in next to Have an Adobe ID or Education account.
  6. Choose Sign in with an Enterprise ID.
  7. Enter your KU online ID followed by @ku.edu (ImaJayhawk@ku.edu).
  8. Click or tab into the password field. (Note: You will not enter your password at this stage.)
  9. When redirected, choose Enterprise ID if prompted.
  10. At the KU log in screen, enter your KU Online ID and password.

Student Access

All students can get Adobe Express with premium features by opting in. Students will need to renew their KU Adobe Express Premium license annually before start of fall semester.

Opt-in Procedures:

  1. Visit Myidentity.ku.edu.
  2. Select the button to “View licensing” in the lower right corner.
  3. You should see information about Adobe Express. Select “Claim your license.”
  4. You can now use Adobe Express with premium features on your mobile device or through a web browser.

To log in:

To access Express from a desktop, visit the Adobe Express website.

  1. Choose the email option (if prompted)
  2. Enter your KU email address.
  3. If prompted, choose “Company or School Account.”
  4. Sign in with your KU Online ID and password.
