Overview
CCX 505 & 600
The Poly CCX 505 and 600 phones integrate with Microsoft Teams Voice for all calling features as well as other features. All calls, voicemails, contacts, etc. made from your Poly phones can also be found in Teams Calls using your PC, Mac, or mobile device.
While both phones offer nearly identical features, the 600 has a larger touchscreen area and screenshare capabilities.

Control | Description |
---|---|
Message waiting indicator | Blinking red light is a notification for voicemail, incoming and missed calls. |
Touchscreen | Select items and navigate menus on the touch-sensitive screen. |
Volume keys | Adjusts the volume of the handset, headset, speaker, or the ringer. |
Headset indicator | Displays when the phone is powered on. The icon glows green or blue when a headset is connected and activated. |
Speakerphone indicator | Displays when the phone is powered on. The icon glows green when activated. |
Mute | Mute or unmute the microphone during an active call. If red during a call, you are on mute. |
Sign In and Out
Do not use the ‘Sign in on this device’ on the touchscreen. Use the code following the directions below.
Department Phone Sign In
Contact the Tech Support staff in your department to set up your departmental account.
Individual Phone Sign In
You will need to generate a code from your phone to sign in to your Teams account.
Get your code:
- Tap the Refresh code button on the touchscreen to generate a code.
- From your computer or mobile device, go to the Microsoft Device Login page.
- Enter the generated code from the touchscreen.
- Choose your work account.
- Tap Continue from the Microsoft Authentication Broker message.
After a few seconds, your phone will begin actively connecting and will sign you into your Teams phone home screen.
To Sign Out
- Tap your profile image in the top-right of home.
- Select Settings.
- Scroll down to Sign out.
Accessibility
If you need assistance turning on the accessibility features on your phone, contact the Tech Support staff in your department.
To enable Accessibility features:
- Tap your profile image in the top-right of the home screen.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Device settings.
- Tap Accessibility.
- Tap toggle switch on to enable Accessibility Settings.
You will find the following features available:
- High Contrast Mode: Increases the color contrast in the local interface. Toggle on or off.
- Large Text: Increases the size of the text in the local interface. Tap Large Text to open size options.
- TalkBack: Built in screen reader that voices all visible elements to assist with navigating phone’s features. Contact the Tech Support in your department if you need assistance enabling this feature.
- TalkBack Tutorial is available once TalkBack feature is enabled.
- Color Correction: Adjusts colors to compensate for red-green or blue-yellow color blindness.
Bluetooth Devices
You can pair your Bluetooth headset or mobile device to receive calls.
- Tap your profile image in the top-right of your screen.
- Tap Settings.
- Navigate down to Device Settings.
- Tap Bluetooth.
- Tap the toggle switch to On to activate Bluetooth.
- Tap Manage Bluetooth Devices.
- Tap + Pair new device.
- Set your device to pairing mode.
- Once your device is recognized, the device name will show. Tap the name of your device to connect.
Place and Receive Calls
Place a Call
Once signed in, there are a few ways to make calls:
- Pick up the handset and use the number pad on the touchscreen to dial out.
- Tap the headset or speaker icon on the right edge of your phone, then use the number pad on the touchscreen to dial out.
- Use Contacts:
- Tap the People tile on your home screen.
- Navigate to and select the contact you want to call.
- Select their number.
- Use Recent calls:
- Tap the Calls tile.
- Tap Favorites or Recent from the top-right tab.
- Navigate to and tap the name you want to call.
- Tap the phone icon to call.
Receive Calls
When you receive an incoming call, your screen will show caller information and Decline and Accept buttons.
To answer the call, use one of the following:
- Lift the handset to answer.
- Tap the Speaker button.
- Tap the Headset button to answer through your headset.
- Tap the Decline or Accept button:
- Decline button sends calls directly to voicemail.
- Accept button picks up call through speaker or paired headphones.

Forwarding Calls
You can set up calls to be forwarded directly to your voicemail or select a contact or number to forward to another person in your absence or as needed.
- Tap your Profile image in the top-right of your screen.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Calling.
- Tap Call forwarding to toggle on the voicemail selection.
Continue with next steps to designate a contact. - Tap Forward to.
- Select Contact or number.
- Type name of person and select to designate.
To remove call forwarding tap Call forwarding to toggle off the selection.
You can also set up a Call group in your Teams app.
Unanswered Calls
Select If unanswered to choose what to do if call is unanswered. You can choose that unanswered calls go to voicemail or a designated contact to receive the unanswered call.

Delegates
Manage Delegates
You can assign delegates to receive and place calls on your behalf. The instructions below are specific to assigning delegates through your phone, but you may also assign and manage delegates through the Teams app.
Assigning Delegates
This is a two-step process: 1) Assign a delegate, 2) Forward calls to the delegate.
I. Assign a Delegate
- Tap your profile image in the top-right of your screen.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Manage delegates.
- Type name of delegate and select to add.
- Tap the added delegate to view permissions, change delegate, and change your call settings.
- Tap the checkmark in the top-right corner to save.
II. Forward Calls to Delegate
- Go back to Settings and tap Calling.
- Tap the Call forwarding toggle to switch on to assign calls to your delegate.
- Tap Forward to.
- Select My delegates.
To remove delegate:
- Tap the name of the delegate to bring up Calling preferences.
- Select Remove delegate at the bottom of the options.
Delegate Role
Receive Calls
When you have been assigned the delegate role and calls are forwarded to you, calls that you receive for the person for which you are a delegate will show their name in the screen text.

Place Calls
To make a call on their behalf:
- Tap the calls tile and type the name or number of the person just as you would to place a call for yourself.
- Tap the call icon and pop-up window will provide options of calling on the behalf of someone you support and yourself.
- Tap your selection.
If Unanswered
If you, as the delegate, cannot answer the call, the phone rules set by the person you are supporting will apply. For example, if that person has ‘If unanswered’ forward to voicemail, the call will go to their voicemail.
Delegate Permissions
You may have been given permission to manage other delegates and call permissions for the person you support. To manage those permissions:
- Tap your Profile image in the top-right of your screen.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Manage delegates.
- Tap on the person you support to bring up the 3 options: View Permissions, Change delegates, Change call settings.
View Permissions
You can view the permissions given to you by the person you support.
Change Delegates
View or change other delegate's permissions. Note, you are not able to change your own permissions. That will be done by the person you support.
- Tap on Change delegates.
- Tap on name of delegate.
- Tap on toggle switches to the right of the permission to turn on and off.
You can also remove other delegates from this screen.
Change Call Settings
This option allows you to change the forwarding options of the person you support, such as forwarding to you or their voicemail, ring others, or what to do if the call is unanswered.
- From Manage delegates, tap on the person you support.
- Tap on Change call settings.
- Make appropriate selections.
Transfer Calls
You can transfer calls directly to another user/department or you can use Consult before transferring.
Immediate Transfer
- While on an active call, select Transfer.
- From bottom-left corner, select Transfer.

- Tap the number or name you entered.
Once the call transfers, the call will end for you.
Consult Before Transfer
When you use consultative call transfers, you can speak with the recipient and then manually complete the transfer.
- While on an active call, select Transfer.
- From bottom-left corner, select Consult first, which places the original caller on hold.

- When the recipient answers, provide the information, and confirm that they would like to take the call.
If Call is Accepted
Tap the Transfer icon to complete the transfer. This will end the call for you.
If Call is Declined
- Tap the End Call button to disconnect from the recipient.
- Tap Resume to speak to original caller.
Conference Calls
While on a call, select the People icon in top-right.

- Select Add to enter your contact’s number.
- Select a contact from Contacts or Recent Calls.
- Repeat for additional participants.
Voicemail
Voicemail Set-up
To set up or change voicemail greetings or check voicemail:
- Tap your profile image or icon in the top-right of the home screen.

- Tap Calling.
- Tap Voicemail – Change voicemail greetings.
- The system will call voice-operated Menu directions. Follow the Menu prompts.
Notifications
If you have received a voicemail:
- The notification indicator above the screen will blink red.
- You will receive an email with the audio file of the message and transcription (when possible).
- The voicemail icon on your touchscreen will show a red dot on the top-right corner.
- Your voicemail will temporarily appear on home screen.

Check Voicemail
- Tap the voicemail tile on the home screen.
- Tap on the voicemail to bring up options.
- From here, you can:
- View transcript, if available.
- Listen to message.
- Return call.
- Delete.
You can also check your voicemail in your Teams Calls feature.
Contacts
Create or edit Contacts by selecting the People tile on your home screen.
Add New Contacts
- Tap the People tile on the Home screen.
- Tap the Plus sign to the right of the screen.
- Select Add from directory or Create new group.
Manage Existing Contacts
- Tap the People tile on the Home screen.
- Select the 3 dots at the top-right of the person's contact information.
- Select from option panel: Add to group, Edit group or Remove from group.
Calendar
You can view your calendar, add meetings, and join online Teams meetings from your phone. From the home screen, select the Calendar tile.
- View calendar events.
- RSVP and join Teams meetings from the Join button on the invitation, just as you can in Outlook.
- Launch a new meeting by selecting the Meeting icon at the top-right of your screen.
You can change the meetings to reflect the organizers' names or the names of the meetings.
- Tap your profile image in the top-right of your screen.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Meetings.
- Use toggle switch to show meeting names. When toggled off, only the organizer name will show.
